Today marks the start of May, which is mental health month! Since its start in 1949, Mental Health Month has reached millions of people through the media, local events, and screenings. The objective of mental health month is to fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for policies that support people with mental illness and their families. In support, our lead ambassador Miguel will be speaking at a school in Los Angeles. To get more involved with Mental Health Month, check out the National Alliance on Mental Illnesses’ Why Care? campaign here. How will you share the importance of mental health treatment, support and services this month?
